what were the achievements of the Ming Dynasty?

The Ming Dynasty was divided into two parts. The first part was between 1368AD and 1450AD in other words the glory years. This part is when the Ming Dynasty had great stability in all. The bad part is that from 1405 and 1644 everything went downhill. This time was surrounded by terrible rulers and was veery unstable. It was so easy to overrule, but the Ming Dynasty is still considered a good, and stable dynasty.

What Happened to the Emperors when they Died?

The Ming tombs are about 25 miles from Beijing. They are currently a well known tourist attraction. The first emperor to be buried in the Ming tombs is Yongle along with his wife. The tombs are approached by a sacred path called Shenddan. Also there are only 13 caskets in the tombs mostly made of emperors and their wives. Lucky! The tombs are and were very important to the Ming.

Who were the best emperors and what did they do?

There were many emperors of the Ming Dynasty, but I will tell you about the two main ones Hongwu and Yongle. First I will tell you about Hongwu. Hongwu established the capital of the Ming Dynasty which is Nanjing. He was a ruthless emperor who reestablished the Chinese traditions. Lastly, he setup trade contacts with the near east and many others. Now I will tell you about Yongle. Yongle was tough, he was a giant influence on the dynasties military. He gave the empire it's strength led many of their expeditions. He also grew the army to 62 ships and 28000 soldiers. They were a feared army.

What is the Ming Dynasty know for?

From what I have read so far, the Ming Dynasty is known for their powerful emperors and powerful army. They had many emperors, 17 to be exact. There are 2 of the emperors who meant the most to their empire and they are Emperor Hongwu and Emperor Yongle. In other words, they are the first emperor and the third emperor. The emperors are Hongwu, Jainwon, Yongle, Hongxi, Xuande, Zhengtong, Jingtai, Tainshun, Chenghua, Hongzhi, Zhengde, Jainjing, Longquin, Wanli, Taichang, Taina, Changzhen.

During what time period was the Ming Dynasty and why?

The Ming Dynasty started during 1368AD and ended about 1644AD. They ruled for nearly 300 years! Before the Ming Dynasty was there, there were people there called the Mongols. The Mongols got attacked during some time in 1300AD and got entirely overruled. Now they have a new Dynasty which they called the Ming Dynasty which was ruled by a guy. Well of course it was ruled by a guy because guy's rock. Especially me. Anyway, the emperors name was Zhu Yuanzhang, which is definitely not a simple name. He was also a former British novice which is a Buddhist follower. Another name they used to call him is the Hongwei emperor.
